Lesson Plans for the Classics
Each season, Our Lesson Plans for the Classics spin off from the Symphony’s Classics Series. The customized, multi-media classes are designed for Cape Cod middle and high school students and link history or literature with music.  Through Tix4Music, students and their chaperones also receive free tickets for a field trip to the symphony.

The classes are held in participating schools approximately four weeks prior to the applicable concert.  Educators may contact George Scharr, CCSO Director of Community Education, at gscharr@capecodconservatory.org to schedule any of the following Lesson Plans for 2012|13.

Feedback

I just wanted to say how much my kids and I enjoyed yesterday's presentation on music and nature in preparation for Sunday's symphony.   I thought it was engaging for multiple ages, fun and informative.   Your enthusiasm for the subject is very contagious.   --Cheryl Gardner

Funny story, I told my music theory students I had the Tchaikovsky CDs and they cheered! --Lisa J. Fournier-Donley

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to attend the Symphony of Nature performance yesterday…During "And God Created Whales" it was so amazing how seamlessly the orchestra worked with the audio of the real whales. It was also fun to be able to pick out the different parts that were discussed in class the week before. --Kali Dexter
