Auditions for the 2022|23 Season will be hosted in June. Sign up for an audition day/time!
The Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra (CSYO) Program is a year-round program that consists of two ensembles: CSYO and Repertory Winds & Strings. Members of both groups will learn to rehearse and perform like the Cape Symphony, exploring the beauty and intricacy of history’s greatest compositions while continuing to grow their musicianship and technical ability. We welcome all young musicians from ages 12 to 21 who play orchestral instruments to audition for placement in one of the two ensembles offered.
All details about the CSYO Program, including audition requirements, can be found here: CSYO Program Student Handbook.
Rehearsal Schedule
Both ensembles generally rehearse on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM, alternating between Cape Cod Community College and the Cape Symphony Falmouth Campus.
For specific rehearsal schedule details, please view our 2022/23 CSYO Program Calendar.
Placement and New Member Auditions
Current CSYO members are automatically accepted for next season, but need to re-audition for the 2022/23 Season for placement within the CSYO.
All new members must audition. This not only helps us place students in the appropriate ensembles, but also helps us choose the repertoire for the season.
