Join us for our incredible season of musical experiences, created especially for you by Artistic Director & Conductor Jung-Ho Pak. View and download the 2020/21 season brochure.

We recognize the ongoing uncertainty around the COVID-19 health crisis and the lack of clarity regarding the duration of the pandemic. We'll respond to all recommendations from the government. Should we need to cancel or change elements of the season, we’ll let you know. Meanwhile, we hope that we'll be able to bring these concerts to you as planned, on these dates.

Put on your party hats and join us in wishing Beethoven a happy 250th birthday! The celebration for the greatest composer of all time begins with his wonderful Piano Concerto No. 5, known as the Emperor Concerto for its magnificence. Award-winning pianist and talented improviser Charlie Albright, an impressive young man who channels the spirit of great classical composers, joins us. You'll also hear Beethoven’s popular Egmont Overture, a thrilling tribute to resistance against tyranny, performed by the Cape Symphony for the first time.

You asked, we answered! We’re bringing back our most popular singers ever: Siren Mayhew, LaKisha Jones and the Cape’s own American Idol, Siobhan Magnus! These powerhouse vocalists will send their their gorgeous voices soaring in some of the most popular songs of all time, including “Respect,” “I’m Every Woman,” and “Proud Mary.”

A three-masted ship, battered by the North Atlantic winds, sails into a harbor, sheltered by the hooked shape of the land. Its exhausted passengers had hoped to reach Virginia, but instead, found themselves facing an uncertain future. This was a momentous time in the history of America and our very special community in particular. The Cape Symphony is honored to present one of the premier events during the statewide 400th anniversary celebration of the Pilgrims’ arrival.

The holiday season begins with the Cape Symphony! Year after year, we gather to share joyous music and moments that put us all in a holiday mood. 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the Cape’s beloved Chatham Chorale; we’ll shine a spotlight on our dear friends. We’ll be joined by Deanna Loveland, a multi-talented Nashville singer/songwriter who also plays piano and harp, and gifted Orleans guitarist and singer Keb Hutchings-McMahon, former member of the Cape Conservatory’s CJazz ensemble.

What better way to start your new year off than with the joyful experience of the Cape Symphony? Spend the afternoon enjoying a mix of old and new – Viennese waltzes and marches in the spirit of a New Year’s celebration in Vienna combined with a fresh take on pop hits and opera classics! We’ll feature a nod to Beethoven’s birthday as part of our year-long celebration, with Concertmaster Jae Cosmos Lee performing “Romance for Violin and Orchestra.”

With the blue Danube flowing between the mighty cities of Buda and Pest, and its blend of Western European and Gypsy cultures, Hungary is a powerful inspiration for artists whose imaginations were captured by its romantic beauty. Hungary’s greatest classical composers Frank Lizst, with his famous “Hungarian Rhapsody,” and Béla Bartók, who wrote “Hungarian Sketches,” were inspired by their country’s folk traditions and thrilling Gypsy melodies as was Johannes Brahms with his “Hungarian Dances.”

Why, it’s Greased Lightnin’!” And it’s coming to Hyannis with the Cape Symphony! 1978’s summer blockbuster Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, launched some of the most popular songs of all time, including “Summer Nights,” “You're the One That I Want,” “We Go Together,” and more.

Great things often come in pairs. Twin sisters Christina and Michelle Naughton astound worldwide audiences who have seen them playing with incredible synchronicity. The Juilliard graduates perform Francis Poulenc’s “Concerto for Two Pianos,” a delightful dialogue between the two pianists and the orchestra. Mozart inspired the composer while writing this piece, and it’s a perfect example of Poulenc’s light, charming style.

As we conclude our tribute to Beethoven’s 250th, we laud the genius who set the standard for perfection. Beginning with the intensely dramatic Leonore Overture No. 3, from Beethoven’s only opera, we’ll feature two of his most popular works, "Moonlight Sonata" and "Grosse (Great) Fuge." Join us for a journey with Beethoven the man, the idealist, the revolutionary.

Returning to wow you again, Classical Mystery Tour is simply the best Beatles show in the world, bar none. Our sold-out audiences gave this acclaimed group and our orchestra multiple standing ovations, and we just had to bring them back for an encore!
