We appreciate your loyal support of the Cape Symphony, and look forward to presenting joyful music to you again soon.

Put on your party hats and join us in wishing Beethoven a happy 250th birthday! The celebration for the greatest composer of all time begins with his wonderful Piano Concerto No. 5, known as the Emperor Concerto for its magnificence. Award-winning pianist and talented improviser Charlie Albright, an impressive young man who channels the spirit of great classical composers, joins us. You'll also hear Beethoven’s popular Egmont Overture, a thrilling tribute to resistance against tyranny, performed by the Cape Symphony for the first time.

As a birthday gift to Beethoven, we’ll perform the most popular symphony by his musical heir, Johannes Brahms. Brahms felt and demonstrated the legacy of Beethoven more than any other composer, and his bright, joyful Symphony No. 2 will be a wonderful commemoration.
