Cape Symphony Home Cape Symphony - Cape Cod Live Orchestra Music

If you are making a gift in memory of Leona Penn, please choose the Annual Fund and we will transfer your gift to the Music Education Fund.

The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund, one of the most popular ways to support the Symphony, pays for organizational costs that cannot be met by ticket revenue and endowment income alone - everything from musicians’ salaries and guest artists’ fees to rental of the concert hall, office rent and utility bills.

Ticket sales cover only between 65% - 70% of our operating costs. We look to our current and past subscribers, community members, foundations and business partners to provide the remaining support. Most supporters give a gift without restricting its use so we can use it where it is most needed.

The Cape Symphony operates on a fiscal rather than a calendar year, beginning July 1 and ending on June 30. We send out three mail appeals a year, although donations are welcome any time and you may
give online as well.

How important is my gift?

Gifts to the annual fund are vital to our succes. Your gift enables us to:

  • Build a deep sense of community through music among people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Invest in the musicians who comprise the Orchestra and keep ticket prices affordable so that all members of the community can enjoy this outstanding symphony
  • Maintain artistic excellence and innovation in programming
  • Bring world class guest artists and musicians to the Cape

Together we will inspire new generations of musicians, composers, and artists so that the Orchestra can grow and continue to provide you with world class musical experiences.
