Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra
Annual Fund

One of the most popular ways to support the CCSO, the Annual Fund pays for organizational costs that cannot be met by ticket revenue and endowment income alone - everything from musicians’ salaries and guest soloists’ fees to rental of the concert hall, office rent and utility bills.

Thanks to the support and loyalty of hundreds of current and past subscribers, community members, foundations and businesses that not only donate their money but also their time and energy, contributed funds covers 59% of the CCSO’s yearly operating budget. Most donors give a gift without restricting its use so it can start working immediately where the need is greatest.

The CCSO is like most symphony orchestras in its reliance on an Annual Fund and has had one for 46 years. The Annual Fund is an important source of revenue because ticket sales cover only a portion of our operating costs. Without the generosity of contributors, ticket buyers would have to pay substantially more for concert tickets and local students would not be able to participate in CCSO education programs at a discounted rate or free of charge.

What is the best time to give to the Annual Fund?
Since the CCSO operates on a fiscal rather than a calendar year, each Annual Fund begins July 1 and ends the following year on June 30. An appeal is usually sent in the mail to coincide with this schedule. You may also send a contribution with your subscription ticket order. However, your gift is welcome at any time and you may give online now.

How important is my gift?
Participation in the Annual Fund is vital to our success. We especially appreciate the contribution of our current donors and subscribers since this enables us to show potential corporate/foundation supporters that we have strong and committed constituents who believe in our mission and goals. Every gift, regardless of size, counts toward participation.

To contribute to the Annual Fund, click on How to Give and choose the payment method - online, mail, phone or in person - that suits you best.
