Our vibrant lineup of summer programs invites children, teens, and adults to explore music and the arts in an inspiring, supportive environment. Whether you’re just beginning your artistic journey or looking to build on existing skills, you’ll find engaging classes, ensembles, and creative experiences designed for every age and ability level.
Summer session runs July 7 through August 20, with most classes offered at both our West Barnstable and Falmouth campuses — making it easy to keep learning, creating, and performing all summer long.
Guitar Explorers
Get your child started on a fun musical journey! In this engaging class, young students will use ½-size or ¾-size acoustic guitars to learn simple chords and songs—building skills and confidence from day one. It’s the perfect way to spark a lifelong love of music! Available at our West Barnstable campus.
Intro to Piano for Adults - Beginner
Always wanted to play the piano? This class is perfect for those looking to build their skills! Students will learn to play several songs while developing the essential techniques and confidence to enjoy playing on their own anytime. Available at our West Barnstable & Falmouth campuses.
Intro to Piano for Adults - Intermediate
Take your piano skills to the next level! This course is designed for intermediate students looking to expand their repertoire and refine their technique. Learn new pieces while developing the confidence and tools to play independently for your own enjoyment. Available at our West Barnstable & Falmouth campuses.
Kids Summer Arts Program
From July 6 – August 13, our 6-week Summer Art Program offers a fun, arts-enriched experience for children ages 3-7, blending indoor and outdoor activities in a nurturing environment. Young artists will explore painting, mixed media sculpting, storytelling, creative movement, and music-making, fostering creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills. Flexible scheduling options include M/W, Tu/Th, or M/Tu/W/Th, with classes running 9 AM – 3 PM. Available at our West Barnstable campus.
Music Explorers
A fun, interactive class for young children that introduces music basics through ear training, singing, rhythm games, and improvisation. Kids develop skills like beat-keeping, focus, and concentration, while exploring the piano with age-appropriate songs, finger numbers, left/right hand coordination, and basic rhythms. This class sparks creativity and builds a strong foundation for future piano lessons! Available at our West Barnstable & Falmouth campuses.
Music Together
A Parent-Child Music Together® class is a fun, relaxed community experience where families engage in songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, and movement. Parents and caregivers help enrich their child’s musical environment, regardless of musical ability. Each semester introduces a new song collection with a mix of original and traditional songs in different tonalities, meters, and cultural styles. Available at our West Barnstable & Falmouth campuses.
Percussion Explorers
Students will explore different percussion instruments and learn about rhythm, patterns, and dynamics through play and exploration. Students learn basic musical skills while also learning to be part of a musical community and having fun! Available at our West Barnstable campus.
Piano Explorers 1 & 2
Piano Explorers introduces keyboard skills and musicianship through simple melodies, sight reading, music vocabulary, and ear training. Students participate in rhythm games, singing, composition, and ensemble playing, with sight reading focused on pre-staff notation. A piano or touch-sensitive keyboard with at least four octaves is required for home practice. Consistent, brief practice sessions, supported by the family, are essential for developing musical appreciation.
Seaside Strings Ensemble
A fun ensemble for adult string players of all skill levels. Students develop technical and rhythmic skills through the ensemble experience, in a low-pressure setting. The group performs a diverse repertoire, including classical music with simplified arrangements, country and show tunes, presenting a concert for family & friends at the end of the semester. Students should be able to read music with relative proficiency. Available at our West Barnstable campus.
Summer Strings Ensemble - Intermediate/Advanced
Summer Strings is a weekly group class for intermediate and advanced string students focused on strengthening technique, musicality, and ensemble playing. Participants will work together as a small group while building confidence and performance skills in a supportive setting. Students should bring their own instrument; all sheet music will be provided. Available at our West Barnstable campus.
Summer Wind Ensemble - Intermediate/Advanced
Designed for intermediate and advanced woodwind and brass players, this weekly group offers a fun and supportive way to continue building skills after the school year ends. Students will focus on technique, musical expression, and ensemble playing while working together as a small group. Open to flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba. Students should bring their own instrument; all sheet music will be provided. Available at our West Barnstable campus.
