About the Competition

The annual Cape Symphony Merit Scholarship Competition serves as a platform for achievement. It helps to support and develop the performing skills of musicians enrolled at the Cape Symphony in private lessons and group classes across skill levels.

Piano
Elementary Division – Ages 8 and under
Junior Division – Ages 9 to 11
Junior 2 Division - Ages 12-13
Senior Division – Ages 15 to 18

Strings
Elementary Division – Ages 8 and under
Junior Division – Ages 9 to 13
Senior Division – Ages 14 to 18

Instrumental (Brass/Percussion/Winds/Guitar)
Elementary Division – Ages 8 and under
Junior Division – Ages 9 to 13
Senior Division – Ages 14 to 18

Voice
Elementary Division – Ages 8 and under
Junior Division – Ages 9 to 13
Senior Division – Ages 14 to 18
