Siren Mayhew

Siren Mayhew is a vocalist and composer hailing from Martha's Vineyard. She began singing publicly at the age of five. In 2008, at 16, she won the first-ever Boston Pops High School Broadway Sing-Off, earning her a performance with the Pops on the Fourth of July on the Boston Esplanade. In 2017, she entered the New England Song Writing Contest and received a Judge’s Choice Award for her 2016 single, “Mars.” She has performed at countless events around the Vineyard as well as on the mainland.

Among her major performances are two guest performances in London at the Breakthrough Breast Cancer benefit held in Cadogan Hall in 2010 and 2011, performances with the Cape Symphony in 2016 (in which she played an original composition accompanied by the orchestra) and again in their 2017 Holiday Pops concert, and concerts at First Night Chatham in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2017, and 2018.

Siren collaborates with several local bands, in addition to performing her original music. She also fronts a cocktail hour ensemble that plays Jazz classics. This summer, Siren performed at the 2019 Beach Road festival on Martha's Vineyard amongst other artists including John Fogerty and Phil Lesh.
