No April Fools Here – “Beethoven Unleashed” is This Weekend!
We’re not kidding around! The Cape Symphony is back for our April concert. Beethoven Unleashed will be the first-ever conductor-less performance, featuring Concertmaster Jae Cosmos Lee and internationally acclaimed pianist Martina Filjak.
The Story Behind the Statue
Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany in 1770. A famous statue of him was unveiled in 1845, the 75th anniversary of his birth, and the first Beethovenfest was held, with three days of performances attended by King Friedrich Wilhelm and by Queen Victoria!
