Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Barnstable Performing Arts Center will remain closed through the end of August. As a result, the Cape Symphony will be unable to present the “Sinatra!” concert scheduled for August 22 and 23, 2020.

This summer, despite the pandemic, the Cape Conservatory offers multiple opportunities for adults and youth to learn to sing and play instruments. Conservatory faculty have successfully held online classes throughout the spring and the virtual summer term begins July 6.

Several Cape Symphony & Conservatory staff members will train for the seven-mile at-home edition of the Falmouth Road Race this summer to support the organization during this difficult time.

The Cape Symphony & Conservatory is taking measures to reduce expenses in light of the lost revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. These cost-savings solutions include furloughing staff, who are eligible for unemployment compensation, and reducing salaries for working staff.
