Meaghan O’Connor-Vince co-directs the Jazz and Concert Bands and leads a self-designed Music Production curriculum at Barnstable High School in Hyannis, MA. Passionate about student creativity and modern music-making, she writes and presents frequently on music technology and hip-hop education. Her work has been featured in the Massachusetts Music Educators Journal and at national conferences such as TI:ME and APME.
Meaghan is a longtime contributor for MusicFirst, where she also serves on the Teacher Advisory Panel. She brings leadership experience from CCMEA and SEMMEA and continues to adjudicate composition contests at both district and state levels. A saxophonist, Meaghan holds an M.A. in Music Education from Columbia University and a B.M. from the University of Rhode Island, where she studied both jazz and classical saxophone.
