Holiday on the Cape

Jung-Ho Pak, Conductor
ViVA Trio, Vocals
Chatham Chorale, Joseph Marchio, Music Director
Cape Symphony Dance Company

Location:
Barnstable Performing Arts Center

There’s a reason why the Cape Symphony Holiday experience is one of the hottest annual events on the Cape; or, should we say, a few reasons: Unabashed holiday cheer? Check. Wildly talented guest artists? Check. New spins on traditional classics? We wouldn’t have it any other way.

We’ll be joined by ViVA Trio, an award-winning all-female vocal group that takes their own classical-to-pop crossover approach to holiday favorites including “Angels We Have Heard On High” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.” Check out this gorgeous video of the award-winning all-female vocal group singing “O Holy Night,” another song they'll perform with our orchestra.

The Cape’s own Chatham Chorale will join the Cape Symphony for “We Need a Little Christmas,” and “Somewhere In My Memory/Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas” by John Williams from Home Alone, among other numbers.

The Cape Symphony Dance Company, led by Dance Director Michelle Chwastiak, will take the stage with the orchestra to perform favorite scenes from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Miya Henderson and Annika Waynen will alternate as Clara and the Snow Fairy. For these performances, the Company will be joined by dance majors from Dean College: Hyannis native Christopher Luz Rouque as the Snow King, Chiara Salzillo as the Snow Queen, Elisha Lesure as the Flower Fairy, and McKenna Talbot as the Sugar Plum Fairy.
