Cape Symphony Presents “The Wizard of Oz in Concert” with the Cotuit Center for the Arts

Family-friendly performance showcases the script and songs from the 1939 film

HYANNIS, MA—January 15, 2019

“We’re off to see the Wizard” in a very rare and unique presentation of The Wizard of Oz in Concert on Saturday, Feb. 9 and Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center. The Cape Symphony partners with Cotuit Center for the Arts in this evocative take on the original Harold Arlen film score where actors and orchestra share the stage.

Community to help local military families with donations of new, unwrapped toys

For military families, the holiday season may arrive with one or more parent away from home on duty or deployed. During the Cape Symphony’s Holiday on the Cape concerts, military personnel will park a Harbor Master boat at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center and collect new, unwrapped, packaged toys for local military families.
