When you attend a Cape Symphony concert, the first note you hear may well be Jillian Honn’s. As Principal Oboist, hers is the clear, sustained note the orchestra tunes to before each performance. “That can be daunting… it’s an immense responsibility. Sometimes the scariest thing about a performance is the tuning!” she laughs.

The Cape Symphony Orchestra presents Holiday on the Cape on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center.

Spending time with Joe Marchio during the holiday season is a gift in itself. He’s a bit like Cape Symphony’s own Father Christmas – full of good will and good cheer, and exceedingly busy!
