Cape Symphony is thrilled to introduce Francisco Noya, guest conductor for our “Better Together” concert on April 6 and 7, 2024. Mr. Noya is Music Director of the Boston Civic Symphony, a member of the conducting faculty at Berklee College of Music, and a resident of Nantucket, where his wife is Superintendent of Schools. He’s a person who loves what he does, and it shows.

Cape Symphony Spotlight: Meet Jillian Honn
When you attend a Cape Symphony concert, the first note you hear may well be Jillian Honn’s. As Principal Oboist, hers is the clear, sustained note the orchestra tunes to before each performance. “That can be daunting… it’s an immense responsibility. Sometimes the scariest thing about a performance is the tuning!” she laughs.
Cape Symphony's Instrument Access Program and a Young Cellist's Dream
Cellist Dawnabella Baez has a dream: to attend Berklee College of Music and someday become a professional musician. The dream began with private instruction through the Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra Program (CSYOP) during the pilot phase of its Instrument Access Program (IAP) in Spring 2023.

There’s a new face – and a new voice – on the Cape Symphony faculty! Meet Kristin Howard, a classically trained Soprano who teaches voice to young people and adults. Kristin focuses on developing students’ confidence in their unique abilities, while strengthening the basics of healthy vocal production and musicianship.
